MoneyManager Ex : (Beta, in development) is open source and published under the
GPL license. It runs on Windows and Linux. This is now available from CodeLathe website.
Exif Stats Utility: is a tool that figures out which lens settings you are using the most.
It works on RAW formats like CR2, NEF, CRW as well as jpeg formats.
gPhotoNet : is a ASP.NET web photo gallery that is very simple to setup and
produces high quality results.
PicShow : is a .NET screensaver that is similar in function to the 'My Pictures
Screensaver' that comes with Windows XP. You can use this in Windows 2000 &
Windows 98 to get the same functionality.
Poppy! : is a .NET email client that can do POP and SMTP. The source
code is available for free if you wish to reuse some of the POP & SMTP
access code in your own applications.
Checking for Presence of .NET runtime
Most of this (except for Money Manager Ex) software requires the Microsoft .NET
runtime to be installed on the system.
To check if you have .NET runtime installed on your PC you can run this small
executable (checkdotnet.exe) on your PC. [You may need Admin Privileges].
The code for the exe was borrowed from Aaron Stebner's WebLog.
Windows XP SP2 already contains .NET runtime 1.1 installed.
If you have a specific version of .NET already installed, just download the
appropriate version of Money Manager.
.NET runtime v2.0 - can be downloaded and installed from Microsoft's Website.
.NET runtime v1.1 - can be downloaded and installed from Microsoft's Website.
.NET is available on the Windows Update site for Windows 98, Windows ME,
Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
